Step-by-step

  • Remove the tofu from the package and discard the water. In this case, it is not necessary to press it with paper towels to remove excess water.

  • In a glass, mix 60 ml of water with 1 tbsp of soy sauce or tamari and 1 tsp of turmeric. Set aside.
  • In a non-stick pan, heat 1 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil and add the crumbled tofu. Cook for about 4-5 minutes over medium-high heat until it starts to brown.
  • Stir the mixture you prepared in the glass with a spoon and add it to the pan. Increase the heat to high and stir.
  • Quickly add a pinch of freshly ground black pepper, a pinch of Kala Namak salt, and ½ tsp of aromatic herbs (oregano, basil...). Keep stirring until all the liquid has evaporated.
