Ground Beef Pizza

This is my kind of favorite pizza. I have not tried this one but it is almost the same as the one I did without any recipe. This is from the issue of November 2005. I made it on July 24, 2011. I used 1 lb of lean ground beef and a store-bought dough. I made this pizza sauce: I added chopped red bell pepper. DH said 10 stars and he didn't know it was my recipe.

My Favorite Ground Beef Pizza: A Simple Recipe for Weeknight Wonders

As a busy working mom, time is my most precious commodity. Weeknights are a whirlwind of homework help, soccer practice, and the ever-present need to get dinner on the table. That's why I rely on quick, easy, and delicious recipes like this ground beef pizza. It's a family favorite, and it's surprisingly simple to make, even on the busiest of days. Forget complicated pizza dough recipes – I use store-bought, saving me at least an hour of prep time. This allows me to spend more quality time with my family rather than slaving away in the kitchen.

The best part? This pizza is incredibly versatile. I’ve been known to experiment with different cheeses, vegetables, and even add a sprinkle of chili flakes for a little extra kick. The ground beef is already seasoned to perfection; and adding a bit of onion, garlic, and oregano gives it just the right amount of earthy flavor. The base of this recipe is quite simple, which is why I love it – and it's the perfect starting point for personalizing your pizza. My husband, who is a notoriously picky eater, always asks for seconds – and even requests I leave some off to the side for him for a late night snack. My kids too, love it. I even know how to make variations depending on if my children want the pizza cut into a smaller or bigger size. So if you're looking for a delicious and easy weeknight meal that the whole family will love, give this ground beef pizza a try. You won't be disappointed!

The Secret to a Speedy Pizza Night: My secret weapon? Store-bought pizza dough. I'm not ashamed to admit it; there's no need to spend hours perfecting a dough recipe when a perfectly good one is available at the grocery store. I prefer the thicker crust style. This simple shortcut saves me so much time and energy, allowing me to focus on the flavorful toppings. And let's be honest, the most important part of any pizza is the toppings, right? The premade dough makes it easy to whip up this dish in under 30 minutes. It's a game changer for busy weeknights.

Beyond the Basic Beef: While this recipe is fantastic as is, don’t be afraid to get creative with the toppings. On nights when I have a little more time, I’ll add some sautéed mushrooms, sliced bell peppers, or even some caramelized onions for an extra layer of flavor. Sometimes, if my kids are asking, I'll even put some pepperoni. If you’re feeling adventurous, try adding some spicy Italian sausage for a heartier pizza. You can truly personalize this recipe to perfectly match your taste and the ingredients that you have on hand.
