Step-by-step

  • Mix well - form meatballs
  • 3 slices bacon cut fine - fry in skillet, add pepper.
  • Brown meatballs in bacon grease.
  • Take out meatballs when browned.
  • Add to grease in skillet: 1 qt. sieved tomatoes - simmer about 1 hr.
  • Put in 1 can tomato paste
  • 1 can Hunt's tomato sauce (lg.) & meatballs
  • Simmer meatballs 2 hrs.
  • Break up some of the meatballs in the sauce after cooking if you want both meat sauce & meatballs.
