  • In small fry pan put in the canola oil and butter, add in the onions and garlic. Fry until tender, add in the chopped ham to heat through. Set aside.
  • Bring the water, milk, butter and the 2 pkgs. Of sauce mix. Bring to a boil.
  • In the casserole dish, spray with cooking spray, add one box of potatoes, top with chopped ham, shredded cheddar cheese, then top with the hot sauce.
  • Top with the second box of potatoes, ham, then the rest of sauce, add the cheddar cheese. Cover with foil.
  • Bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour. Then remove foil finish cooking to brown the cheese. Remove from oven cool about 5 to 10 min. To thicken.
  • Serve with veg.
